Talia Emery MD Medical Director

Dr. Emery is a board certified family physician that began her career as Chief Resident then Attending Physician at Kaiser Permanente hospital in Woodland Hills. In 2004, Dr. Emery became Regional Supervising Physician and Medical Director for Pure Medspas, supervising seven retail medical spa locations throughout Southern California.

In 2006, she started owning and operating her own aesthetic medicine and laser skin centers. She currently serves as Medical Director for multiple aesthetic medicine companies. She also works as a private consultant in the aesthetic medicine industry serving clients ranging from large biotech and pharmaceutical companies developing new products to physician offices seeking to improve their operations to top-tier resorts and hotels looking to establish a medical spa presence.

In addition, she is a certified speaker and trainer for BOTOX® and Juvederm® and in that role is engaged to speak to and train physicians and their staffs across the country. Further, Dr. Emery is frequently asked to speak at industry events and has been recognized by Allergan as one of the top BOTOX® and Juvederm® providers and injectors in the country. In addition to her professional roles, Dr. Emery prides herself on the long-standing relationships she has with her clients and the impeccable reputation she has attained with them. Dr. Emery has an unprecedented retention rate among clients and is highly regarded and sought after by industry leaders and executives in the field of aesthetic skin care when they require aesthetic services. Prior to practicing medicine full-time, Dr. Emery received a B.S. from the University of California – Los Angeles (UCLA) with a major in biology, earned her M.D. from Temple University’s School of Medicine, and completed her residency with UCLA at Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills

Dr. Emery lives is Southern California with her husband and has two young boys. She enjoys watching and participating in numerous outdoor activities and sports and volunteers her services as a Family Practice physician at the Westminster Free Clinic.

Margaret Fink RNC

Margaret is co-founder and President of Smooth Aesthetics Inc., A Medical Corp. Under the direction of Dr Emery, Margaret provides our clients with injectable treatments and laser treatments. She started her career in medicine in the 80's working in the acute care hospital in New York. After relocating to Los Angeles she started working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where she continues to work today as the educator for the staff nurses.

Margaret became interested in the skin care industry in 2001,this is where she began her education and developed her skill with laser treatments and soon after with injectable treatmetns like Botox cosmetic. She has develpoed a conservative approach to injectables to create a natural , healthy look. Cosmetic skin care like medicine is constantly evolving so Margaret keeps her knoweldge current by attending advanced practice trainings as often as possible. Taking time with each client to learn their individual needs and desire is also a talent she has perfected.

A resident of Burbank, Margaret lives with her husband and has two grown daughters.

Jennifer Shumaker Biochemist

Donna has been in the skincare business since 1994 with a privately owned business which led her to pursue and practice aesthetics. Her one true passion. She specializes in acne, pigmentation, and anti-aging treatments. A treatment with Donna is a real pampering experience.

Kathy Golbienko Licensed Esthetician

Kathy has been a licensed esthetician since 1984 working in high end spas in Seattle, Washington and specializing in facial toning. Her continued education is in chemical peel classes and certifications in the newest Cosmelan Pigmentation Treatments. Her philosophy is "clean skin is healthy skin" and that is her goal. You can expect thourough extractions and a deep cleansing of your skin with Kathy.
